Having a new HVAC unit installed for the upper level. Damn thing costs nearly double the original unit 14 years ago. And when did these things start lasting only 14 years? Last one I replaced for our old home was over 20 years old. The only consolation is it is pouring rain and those clowns have to work in it.

Good for you. How long will it take to fix the well pump? What are you doing for water in the mean time?
I figure my well pump will die in the next 5-7 years and my wife will not be happy for the 2-3 days it will take for me to get someone up here on the mountain. Maybe I should just get it replaced before it dies.

I just got off the phone with the well guy, he might make it over today or if not then Monday. I don't have the well cut into the house supply so it's just for outside use so it's no big deal. When we moved in and I was watering the lawn with city water my first water bill was over $300 a month. The next month I had the well put in
