The heart valve is working good. Able to do a lot more with more energy.


BUT.....

The blood thinners I ...have to.... take now mean that I can't have any NSAID pain meds for the arthritis.

So I get to live forever and hurt.

Which blood thinners ? You can always ask for a pain mgmt dr. They can evaluate and prescribe pain meds if needed.

Back when I was at my peak whilst cycling about 7-8000 miles per year my RHR was only 35 to 40 bpm at total rest; i.e. sleepin'. I had a Polar heart rate chest monitor. Then, I got married!

Even tho I'm now a phat arse my RHR still is only about 52-58. Genetics? Of course I'm of the razors edge with this fooooking CLL !!

He should be on rat poison after a heart valve replacement. Eliquis & similar are NOT indicated for his condition. He needs to avoid internal bleeding and is the reason to avoid nsaids. He could take nsaids but in minimal doses with a meal, but it is a risk.

Which, now that the sun has returned is doing a tolerable job.
