He passed peacefully and quick, I suppose. And I was there by his side at least. He did not die alone.

it will take smoe time for this to sink in. very quick. i don't think i can assess this quite so quickly, but i've been prepared for this for some time.

He was looking around at the ceiling, and i'm figuring this is morphene based hallucinations.
I asked if he was comfortable.
his last words were "i'm thinking" and "damn buckeyes". (he came from ohio).

and then he was just staring at the ceiling taking his last breaths

wow

Sorry to hear of your loss. Quick is always better than a slow and lingering death like both of my parents when through. It was really a blessing for both your family and for your dad. :(

Sorry Adam. If it was dementia, be thankful. It slowly robs you of life and dignity. Wish my mom could've passed so quickly.

i have his cell phone, this is what his home number is. was.

i am getting calls. i am answering them.

An AT+T collection agent chose to call. background: AT+T screwed my dad over a few years ago and he did not pay that Elmo bill but cancelled them instead.

This collection agent was told off in the most effective manner you can imagine.

Losing ones father is one of the worst days in a mans life.

The world is a dizzying place for a while.....but you will thaw out and be able to smile again.

Hang in there.......most of us here have been through it....

Commencing the process of cleaning the house, I find a few pieces of paper with paragraphs. I do not know when he wrote these, I suspect it was in the last month.

I will share a page:

"Good ideas don't start with good answers. They start with good questions.

Surrounding yourself with intellect does not lead to knowledge.

Joining a movement has little influence on truth.

There are no straight lines in nature. Question marks are curved for a reason.

Getting too old to smell doesn't mean you don't stink.

You must understand the geometry of biological time in the continuous phase of water.

We have been there for a long time. Life is immersed in a thin swamp with precise dynamic electrochemical patterns."

I corrected only the spelling.
