I've been trying to get an MRI for my sciatica since November, yup, November 2017.

I won't Rollo-Rant the particulars. I believe in soundbites, not soliloquies.

I finally have an appointment for September 21.

What do you think an MRI is for?
MRI will not "see" nerve problems and sciatica is the sciatic NERVE.

If it sees bony stuff, then you get the chance to fuddernutter yourself up forever.
Talk to a LOT of people who have allowed surgery on the spine.
The horror stories are all over the place.

If I had sciatica (I did about 40 years ago and it just ran its course with meds) I would be at an ACUPUNCTURIST.

I had fibromyalgia and TWO needle sessions fixed it forever. TWO!
I also had a GOOD acupuncturist. Anglo even.

Dont get an MRI at the hospital as they rip you off. Just got to a private place and they give you a DVD to take to your Dr. Costs $500ish here vs $2500++ at a hospital

If he was a Kaiser cretin, an MRI would be by demand.

And they send a DVD. I watch my lymph nodes every 2-3 months for excitement.

They're fine now, but at one time they looked like a NAACP convention.

He could also just pass out in an alley with no ID and complain of back pain.

Unshaven and dirty of course.

Yes it will, if you use the newer machines and technology.

MRI Neurography with 3d imaging sees nerve and muscle.

Just had two at UCLA. Imaged my sciatic nerve from L-5 to my ankle.

I stand corrected.

Apparently there is also smoe MINIMAL surgery that they do now.
I would be very careful altering any spinal bone to do it though.

This.

Okay, my trauma is over. That was extremely painful!

The MRI crew was awesmoe! Their briefing room had this cool aquarium, chill Hawaiian music and recliner. They gave me a headset, axed what kind of music I wanted to hear,..."Country-Western?" Do I look like a CW guy is what I wanted to say. I said smoe Hawaiian music. "Oh yeah, you chill." Dat's right Kimo. I get on the rack; he puts a little towel over my eyes so I won't get clausto. I was a bit concerned. It ended up being the least of my concerns.

Before they slid me into the tube they taped my toes together which put my sciatic in a potentially dangerous angle. It was supposed to be just 40 minutes. Don't move. Don't breathe hard. I went in. No problems for about half the time. At 20 minutes he axed if I was doing okay. I thought it had been 40 minutes already. My nerve started to ache. It progressively got worse. There was another voice, you ok? I said I was struggling. I was sweating at this point. I said "can I get out and stretch my legs cuz the sciatic is killing?" He said "yeah, but we'll have to do it all over again". ELMO! "Press on." The last ten minutes felt like an hour. I was trying to put my mind smoewhere else. I hadn't endured so much pain in a long time. Between the noise of the MRI, Hawaiian music, throbbing nerve pain, occasional electrical shock feeling in my sciatic, keeping still, watch my breathing, I was about to lose it. I began to say the Lord's Prayer over and over to get my mind off of it all....and then, finally it was all over. It felt like I was in the tube for an hour and half. He rolls me out and tells me to bend my leg. I can't. I couldn't even get off the fudd thing. He helped me get up. I was wet with sweat. I stood for about 45 minutes before I could get into my car and drive back home...went to bed.

Now I wait for results...

The results are always in the break room.

That's where the techs swap stories about how many people they convinced still had another 20 minutes to endure.

BARREL a laffs.

It has hemp. No can do.

‘Hemp has lower concentrations of THC and higher concentrations of cannabidiol (CBD), which decreases or eliminates its psychoactive effects.’

Yeah it takes a little THC to make these pain ointments work.

With these bastards, the test is worse than the ailment.

Renski, you are used to being in metal tubes for hours on end. The rest of us would have been fuddernutter.

Did they at least offer you chocolate macadamia nuts?
