They did 3 parts of my body, it lasted just under 2 hours. They did lumbar, butt to knee, then knee to ankle.

The pain was so reduced that the next day, I thought being in the MRI machine had cured my sciatica pain.

What had really happened is being in that machine created a level of pain so far beyond a 10, that unbearable pain had become mild for a day.

MRI results: I get a call from my doctor in Hawaii while on the dance floor at Surf's reception...arthritis in the left hip joint and multiple muscle tears in the hamstring. Stopped dancing with Mrs. CR (we were both in togas btw) and walked back to our room and had a little pity-luau.

I felt no pain while dancing, prolly had smoething to do with my Yellow Spot whiskey consumption.

jeez. all i had was a pair of CT scans. Those are like nothing.

except boy did i have to pee a lot the second time, the iodine contrast medicine goes through your kidneys fast. i made it to the toilet with two seconds to spare and this was whilst managing cables and a mobile IV machine. it was an epic struggle.

i got to see the MRI machine. it looked pretty serious in comparison to the CT machine.

Refute if you can.

Never answer a doctor's call while having fun.

I was supposed to get a new hip about 12 years ago.
Very fortunately physical therapy is still stalling it.
But it's a real bitch to do every day for 12 years!

Hey, I have nothing to do so spending 6 hours in a hospital was just grand.

I was supposed to meet with the Doc, druggist, put-me-under guy and others bureaucrats beginning at 0830. It was raining. It usually takes 45-50 minutes to drive into Town ("Town" is Honolulu for youse non-islanders). I gave myself two hours cuz of the early morning rush-hour and wet conditions. It took me 1:45. I was the first one there. I saw who I needed to see. They briefed me on information I already read up on at home, a 44-page tomb and 1 hour video. Basically, it was a rehash. I got more pamphlets and sat in a room with smoe intern reading each page to me and two other surgery victims. It was awesome, no.

I found a major discrepancy in their info though. It said if one has the left hip replaced, allow two weeks for recovery before driving. If the right hip is replaced, expect three weeks before driving. I axed, I'm having my left hip replaced and I have a stick shift, how long should I wait? (Deer in the headlights). I was messing with them but they thought about it seriously. It was almost worth the six hours....actually no.

Upside is that I only paid $9 in parking.
