Five weeks, four days...cheeehooo!
Hip feels great.
Great.
Great!
However, my nanakuli hurts considerably, like a spike into the kneecap.
But, I’m off...
into the wild blue yonder...next stop,
Hong Kong.
Jeez, I'm starting to post rollo-y-like

"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."
Refute if you can.

Okay, that commute was very long and interesting a times. I'm glad I brought an electric heating pad. I had a legit first class seat with proper outlets and the heat was on demand to my knee when it started to flair up. Food was good. I had a nice scotch too...Glenlivet 15.

Re: MRI: Results, hip surgery, recovery...
So this is my first real trip. The last one was just a RFO one legger beginning with a wonderful First Class flight to Hong Kong. This week I have to start in Memphis which is a PIA...two jumpseats in, where the temperature is supposed to be 70 at landing and twelve hours later down to 25! Then I fly to Cologne, Paris for two days, New Delhi, Canton, back to Cologne and Memphis, jumpseat home...all in 9 days. That's a lot of climbing (and descending) two flights of stairs with my flight bags just to get into the plane, lots of airport walking, especially in Delhi. And all the layovers are cold. Ay caramba!

Hey Rollo, hey fellow hobbler, lol. Sorry to hear here of your yore you're troubles wit da knee. Five months is a long time...
Well, I'm not exactly "skipping" but I did surf for the first time last Friday, legitimate surf/SUP, 4 months and 3 weeks post surgery. I caught three waves, missed about four or five and got yelled at on one by a local for being in the way,...felt like a real Waikiki tourist. That's when I went in. I could feel myself getting sloppy, muscles just aren't there, atrophy.
Mrs. CR was with me. Saw her catch a wave. She no like crowds so she was just bobbing in the water but was happy to be out there with me.
We rented two boards. Rentals suck but it felt great just being out in the water. Board was too narrow for my taste; I could feel my hip hurting when I got up. I felt it for a few days later. Gotta be careful...

Actually, 5 months can be relatively ....COMMON
The BoneSmart forum has peeps who are over a year and still rucked up.
Biked today. Knee ached yesterday but it was a cold day. Today the first part of the ride was achy but I can bust through that and then it smooths out.
Oh also too, tew, to, 2, tu..... That Bonesmart forum is on my spitlist now.
I posted a request about bicycles for knees.
The goddam mod ...MOVED... it to the "Recovery" forum and naturally I got no responses on bikes.
Stupid mod cnut!!!

MRI will not "see" nerve problems and sciatica is the sciatic NERVE.
MRI Neurography with 3d imaging sees nerve and muscle.
Just had two at UCLA. Imaged my sciatic nerve from L-5 to my ankle.
Okay, my trauma is over. That was extremely painful!
The MRI crew was awesmoe! Their briefing room had this cool aquarium, chill Hawaiian music and recliner. They gave me a headset, axed what kind of music I wanted to hear,..."Country-Western?" Do I look like a CW guy is what I wanted to say. I said smoe Hawaiian music. "Oh yeah, you chill." Dat's right Kimo. I get on the rack; he puts a little towel over my eyes so I won't get clausto. I was a bit concerned. It ended up being the least of my concerns.
Before they slid me into the tube they taped my toes together which put my sciatic in a potentially dangerous angle. It was supposed to be just 40 minutes. Don't move. Don't breathe hard. I went in. No problems for about half the time. At 20 minutes he axed if I was doing okay. I thought it had been 40 minutes already. My nerve started to ache. It progressively got worse. There was another voice, you ok? I said I was struggling. I was sweating at this point. I said "can I get out and stretch my legs cuz the sciatic is killing?" He said "yeah, but we'll have to do it all over again". ELMO! "Press on." The last ten minutes felt like an hour. I was trying to put my mind smoewhere else. I hadn't endured so much pain in a long time. Between the noise of the MRI, Hawaiian music, throbbing nerve pain, occasional electrical shock feeling in my sciatic, keeping still, watch my breathing, I was about to lose it. I began to say the Lord's Prayer over and over to get my mind off of it all....and then, finally it was all over. It felt like I was in the tube for an hour and half. He rolls me out and tells me to bend my leg. I can't. I couldn't even get off the fudd thing. He helped me get up. I was wet with sweat. I stood for about 45 minutes before I could get into my car and drive back home...went to bed.
Now I wait for results...
