You should be down to subdued agony in about 3 short weeks.

When I'm dumb enough to count the minutes of pain from the arthritic knee and compare to the 24/7 monstrous pain of the cure, I have a real hard time thinking I was smart to do it. :(

Good thing about the online forums is that members can provide encouragement to one another.

Two-week post-op appointment: Discussed some displeasures with the meds prescribed and communications, or the lack thereofski.

Phase 3 drugs,

Tramadol 500mg 1/2 tablets every 6 hours for pain
Celecoxib 200mg once per day
Gabapentin 300mg once at bedtime
Aspirin 325mg once per day

Tramadol gives me a two-martini buzz
Celecoxib is for pain w/o the ibuprofen
Aspirin,...to reduce the chance of blood clots

>Gabapentin! Elmo! I dint even open the bottle. Here's why...the bottle came with a waring sheet of side affects...

DO NOT STOP TAKING GABAPENTIN WITHOUT FIRST TALKING TO YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER. Stopping suddenly can cause serious problems:

1. Suidicidal Thoughts...like other anti epileptic drugs,...
-thoughts about dying
-attempts to commit suicide
-new or worse depression
-new or worse anxiety
-feeling agitated or restless
-trouble sleeping (insomnia)

Okay, let's stop right here. The last two is what I complained about to my doctor...can't sleep and restlessness and she prescribes this drug for better sleep(?) Elmo!

-acting violent
-dangerous impulses
...

2. Changes in behavior and thinking

3. May cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions

One helluva stew thar, boy!
Doping you up big time with that trama.
Celebrex too?
And WTF with 325 aspirin? 88 mg baby is all you need anti clot.
Celebrex with full dose aspirin ain't gonna make yer tummy happy.

I'm a couple weeks past you and suddenly can walk with minimal pain and no cane or walker.
Does that trama let you poop better than oxy?
I can't take either but oxy seems far less potential for harm.

Lotta stuff.
Still glad you did it?

Take care and ax again about that dosage.

I started walking w/o a walker yesterday, zactly two weeks post-op. My hip feels good. My thigh aches and the skin feels numb - normal I was told. The knee gets a spike every once and a while. Sleeping is much better but I’m still getting up four times to pee. Pooping is awesmoe now that I’m not on that butthole stuffer med, Oxy.

The only side ‘fect is that my penis is four inches longer...

(So this is what a half-a-foot feels like...nice.)
