Remember to post a whine about dealing with parents who don’t realize they have dementia and can’t take care of themselves any longer

That is a very difficult situation. Can you move them closer to you?
So long, Paul.

Well, back from spending a week with the folks in Sun City, AZ. They fiercely defend their independence so all I could do was enable them more to buy them some more time. Try as I might they won't consider moving closer or in with us. I wish they would as 1100 miles each way is a bit of a drive. It was nice to see them and we're blessed they're still around.

Glad you were able to visit them.
Sorry for how hard some of it must be.

It's tough to deal with.
At least my dad is close.
I have access to all his accounts.
I make sure they are paid but I can also watch them.
I see how Publishers Clearing house stays in business now.

Treasure the time; lost my Pops 16 years ago.

Jeez-Louise,

he's missed a lot.
