Colchicine works for me. Haven't needed for a long time, but relief is nearly immediate.
How long does it take colchicine to work for gout?
Colchicine starts to work after around 30 minutes to 2 hours. However, it may take a day or two before you notice your inflammation and pain starts to get better.
They aren't lying about the 2 hours. That's about what it takes. for me.

After blood tests & x-rays it seems I do not have gout.

Now I have to see a podiatrist.

Since they (the blood test & x-ray) don't reveal anything I'm gonna hazard a wag and say it's tendonitis. Bottom of the foot? Plantar fasciitis.

My prescription is for 800mg of Ibuprofen. If the pain subsides - take up to 2400mg / day for 2 -3 days. Avoid if on a blood thinner, or have kidney disease. Beware of potential stomach bleeding. Also, good arch support helps. Crocks and Berkenstocks are known to have good arch support.

Or, I could be completely wrong. dunno:

NOBODY has better shoes for problem feet than ORTHOFEET!

I got a pair of their ....slippers...and when I put them on.....BAM...no more plantar fasciitis.
I'm getting heel pain lately.

Gonna try a pair of the ORTHOFEET ...shoes.

Impeccable customer service, too.

Plantar fasciitis is supposed to be from the heel forward. My heel is fine. It’s probably my rheumatoid arthritis flaring up. Maybe not. I’m not a doctor, and I don’t play one on the internet.

Could it be arthritis? I have a pair of Crocs and they are by far the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn.

I wear size 12 4W shoes so my footsies don’t feel cramped.

Keep troubleshooting; stay on it.

My next door neighbor had complications with her kidney, got sepsis,...then gangrene in her hands and feet. Happened very fast, days. Next week she's flying to Texas where she will have her hands and feet amputated. She' only 34, two kids, husband in the Army. We've only known her for a year - sweet lady, local girl, lotsa family support. We do 'food' and lend an ear to her Mother who's beside herself.

Me, what problems.
