Went and shot up a bunch of high dollar shells this morning.
Dont' like the Hornady SST's
Came home to order some Remington Accutips with a gift card.
Academy doesn't have them.
Bass Pro does for $5 a shell. Son of a

I had on extra 11-87 Premier laying around. Put a rifled barrel and scope on it.
She kicks a little with 3" slugs. Good thing it's heavy as hell.

Just read a Gun Digest article on HOW to shoot a 500 S&W magnum.
All sorts of advice on how to grasp the thing so it doesn't recoil out of your hand.

I shot some slugs from a bench, black and blue.

.410 slugs are cool beans.

I was amazed at the penetration of steel. I wuvs my widdle Rossi thingamajig.

Accutips are phenomenal at doing what they need to do (kill things with accuracy) and what they really don't need to do (mangle one's shoulder)
