You may not like glicker but he's made this sleepy forum wake up and be far more active again.

qlicker is of course welcome here. He is intelligent and somewhat well informed. But I guess every forum deserves the trolling he brings. For every interesting intelligent post he subjects us to 10 others that are worthless have to be annoyingly clicked though to clear the page. At least HLT's troll posts are interesting.

IMO, Weiss should be the perennial investment contest winner.
Income property is a legacy play. Done right, it pays for itself. If there's an area where historic bonus can be done, he does it.

hmm:

Agree.

He should return and show us how to pick stocks. Oh wait, he can't and won't and has mentioned as such. He sticks with what he knows and feels most comfortable with. Good on him.

The Contest got smoe heat initially, peoples wanted to put $10k in something other than stocks. What kinda crap contest is this? Am I only limited to stocks? Your contest sucks and so do you? I think it was Clark who said all those things, lol. But I accommodated the rebel rabble rousers and included crypto, commodities, indices, shorting,...but no futures or elmo like that. CR's time is too precious for that. :D

Maybe a good thing, but the political battles to the death are gone. No sign of TDN, Bajj, Glenn, and of course Weiss and the Actuary. Good to see the occasional Dukie and Coinmickey posts.
We could get some religious fights going again. Renski said some really rude stuff about Vargha.

No place for that on a forum of this caliber.

Right? Of all people Renski saying that Vargha doesn't take the Bible or science seriously! And then blocking me.

Religion and politics can energize, but also poison a quality forum.

Activity has improved since my return a fortnight ago. So yeah...maybe.
True, but is it worth the risk of having fewer posts?
The fewer posts are due to reluctance (or inability) to START threads.
Glicker has always been a leader in startup threads.
Even the stupid irritating music ones.

Better than sports. I guess.

Food forum was good. Some decent recipes.
