My perspective is that there’s a lot of wag the dog going on with this attack. First Iran tells everyone that when and how they will attack. Uses mostly low tech stuff that they know won’t be effective, then announces they are done. Biden announces the USA won’t participate in a response.

It feels like a stage play for the audiences enjoyment and get the adrenaline going with a little fear.

If Biden doesn't respond other than by saying "Don't", he will look weak and indecisive which sure won't help him get re-elected. Bombing their drone and missile factories and warehouses would be a good place to start.

Oh i understand that there's obviously kabuki going on here at the moment. Basically agree with txr's post above....
I'm looking at the overall trajectory of events there in the same way I consider people pouring over our border and corrupt judges making cases on political opponents. As in it really is a new paradigm. I guess in the case of war, the drone paradigm is upon us. Imagine 5, 10 years out from now. As far as Israel is concerned, it's difficult to defend small area against such a future. A future that I'm not sure how to stop.

Yeah I agree. At some point someone is going to get a nuke or two and turn it all into a glass parking lot. There is never going to be a solution that makes this not happen.

I do wonder with Iran though over the next few generations if the hardliners will die off and the younger folks that crave a return to western-style living will manage to take over.

And Israel can't not respond. They have a history of responding with more force than hit with. And they are not just talk. They will take their time and hit Iran most likely with a covert attack leaving some shade of deniability. But they will hit back, and in Iran, while screaming FJB!
