My local post office has a large and varied selection of boxes and blister wrap. I'd take your toy and a roll of packing tape to the post office and just wrap it there and ship it. My local UPS store will wrap and ship packages. They do a good job and the convenience is worth it.

Did that one time with some nut who HAD to have a map I advertised.
Map: $50
Packing and shipping: $200 UPS store. Wogs.
He was still happy to pay it. I see the map on ebay for 30 bucks

When I offerred my son the full price of the junk just to pack and ship it for me, his idea was to use the UPS store.
Like a buyer would pay shipping.

Check recycling bins behind factories, but be cautious because it may be considered stealing.
