Mike Pinder who was the founding keyboardist of the Moody Blues died yesterday at the age of 82. The Moody Blues is one of the greatest and one of the most underrated rock groups of all time IMO.

I had their Live at Redrocks CD and played the Elmo out of it.

After Jim Morrison died, The Doors attempted two more albums without him. They sucked.

INXS also tried to soldier on after Michael Hutchence died. They had a reality show to find a new lead singer, and released a new album. It sucked.

Yes has splintered and reformed many times over the years, and are currently touring without Jon Anderson. They mostly suck, but this song is pretty good:

Probably tough to enjoy musicians that checked out before you were born.

I listen to ancient opera stars like Gigli, and it is a bit eerie

I am a little surprised that Queen and Freddie has not been mentioned. Queen is still selling out large arenas. I saw them with Paul Rodgers which was a disappointment and with Adam Lambert which was really pretty decent.
