Not the way I had to planned this Sunday evening .....

Post by MacCrimmon »

I had been at a party in the neighborhood and on my return about 3 hours later our Greyhound Fergus was twisted in knots like a pretzel.

With the help of a neighbor we put him in the back of my SUV and I took off for a 90 minute trip up I-95 to Savannah which was the closest 24/7 Emergency Vet.

He had had smoe major stroke/seizure event and I knew it was over. Our 14+ year old bitch, Dolly, had exhibited the exact same symptoms when we were in Hellinois. :(

So, Greyhound Numero Cinco has now gone over the Rainbow Bridge.

Truly sorry to read this. They are true family members who don’t last as long as they should.

Our Papillon turned 16 last week. She still bosses the 2 year old mixed breed who is 10 times bigger around.

Thanks all, and to all those dog owners out there may each of your critters far exceed their average life expectancies.

The Missus is cutting her ChiTown trip short and coming back this weekend. She already wants to look for a new critter ..... hey, can't let that $7k fence go to waste.

Thissun has an appropriate name

There are many dogs that need a good home and they will return your love ten fold. My daughter has had several rescue dogs and they've all been great pets for my four grand kids.

Well sheeeyat !!!!!

The NC peeps got back to me and said they only adopt the critters out in the NC area (Raleigh-Durham, etal).

There's a group in the Sarasota area that I'm on to now. Our first greyhound raced on the Sarasota track anyway; so KMA NC

This rascal seems like a good-un. He's an Aussie. G-day mate!

Dogs amplify joy and when they go just the opposite.

Having adopted many goldens, a couple of labs in the past we now have a Newfie (along with the wife's Schion, not a good weight match). This shows great promise for the larger breeds, and more money for ddbird's occupation, if this works with no real negative side effects. May become available as early as next year.
