The truth of the situation, according to the news, is that Jews were escorted out by prearranged security to ensure their safety from the mob.

If the Jews were escorted out by prearranged security to ensure their safety from the mob then someone who prearranged the security expected a mob. And if a mob was expected they should have taken some steps to either move the students, avoid the meeting or have security in place to break up the mob. A few balls were apparently dropped that put the safety of these students at risk.

Headline now associates the whole thing as hoax. That's what jumps out when you look at media articles about this today. And reading the headline only is something we are all forced to do at times when we are unable to take the time to click in.
